Dude, why worry about temporary dips and sell offs. Just buy and hold till next March. If you buy the right stocks you can double your investment. Buying and selling every week will not make you any more money..

If you are short term trader, you have to access people's psychology and the better you do it, the more you can make. You must keep up to date with various events that impacts the stock market and individual stocks you own.

If you are long term investor, focus on fundamentals  and you will be just fine.
