laptop suggestion

Any suggestions? Requirements: zero gaming; but I use some software for research which are a little heavy (comparable to photoshop, Eclipse).

2008 and 2014 lo Dell Inspiron vi teesukunna.. each of them were good for 6 years. Ala konchem longlife unnadi kavali. Preferably <650-700.

+1 but macbook air vastundi , he may not be able to run heavy apps

@karthik25 I had XPS for 5 years and then Inspiron 4k touch for another 5 years. Got Macbook pro now , Dell was very reliable , macbook is really good so far

software compatibility is the main concern with Macs. Although I'm using a Mac myself for the past 5+ years... Parallels desktop kuda install chesina Mac lo since I had a software that is Windows only compatible. System performance taggindi daani valla

Macbook lo storage capacity ekkuva undadu kada. I have some 400GB of data. Separate ga hard disk malli konalsi vastundi. Also, I am not sure how easy it would be to install the research software and the performance of macbook. Software compatibility is also an issue.

if you are ok buy a desktop under 400 lo u will get a better one

for Storage Capacity - not much to worry. oka 100 pedithe 1tb hd's vasthaayi.

Agree on Software Compatibility - vmWare vesukotame. work laptop lo idhey doing... ofcourse office  vaalladhi kaabatti high end config.
