Trump administration refutes NYT report of internal document projecting doubling of COVID-19 rates

Deputy press secretary Judd Deere denied White House ownership of a document that was obtained by The New York Times on Monday, adding that "[t]his data is not reflective of any of the modeling done by the task force or data that the task force has analyzed." The Times report cited internal projections of daily deaths jumping from around 1,750 to 3,000 in the US by next month, and new cases equally rising to 200,000 per day from about 25,000 currently.
