It's not amount of gas always....how poisonous and how much above the ground the gas presents...

 

H2S gas (around 7-8 ppm , not sure about the number konchem breath chesina people will be unconscious)..

Andukey persons (operations or inspections)..working there should carry gas monitors to detect the presence of gas...
