ఔరంగాబాద్‌లో ఘోర రైలు ప్రమాదం

ఔరంగాబాద్‌లో ఘోర రైలు ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. ట్రాక్‌పై నిద్రిస్తున్న కూలీలపై గూడ్సు రైలు దూసుకెళ్లింది. ఈ ఘటనలో 17 మంది వలస కూలీలు మృతి చెందారు. పలువురికి గాయాలయ్యాయి. రైల్వే ట్రాక్‌పై మృతదేహాలు చెల్లాచెదురుగా పడి ఉన్న దృశ్యాలు కలచివేశాయి. ఔరంగాబాద్‌- జల్నా మధ్య ఉదయం 6:30 గంటలకు ఈ ఘటన జరిగింది.

Maybe they thought there were no trains running due to lockdown. But still, there are so many safer places to sleep than a train track. They could have slept outside the track or alongside a highway. They could have heard the train rumble in their sleep from a distance. Poyye kaalam vaste...

The question is - how can anyone fall sleep on a train track - even if the whole world is locked down and even if no trains are running and even if they are illiterate?? I cannot imagine doing that even in my dream.
