Has been vs Have Been

I finished some work in the past want to tell some one

edi sentence 

When do you think I can close the ticket as work has been finished already. or work have been finished already aa?

also if the work is finished you should not use been. It should be like I have finished the project last month.

"When do you think I can close the ticket, as the work has already been finished ?"

Already is an adverb, so it must appear before the main verb and has is right~ singular

have been or has been comes if you want to specify the time period.

he need not mention time. It is not a hard and fast rule. If he wants to say time....he shud say ..the work has been finished yesterday or something like that. He is using an adverb "already" , indicating the work has been completed in the past

Work is singular , so u need to use "has"

If you want to mention time you can say "the work has been finished few minutes ago"
