We focus only on the IT part of STEM where, in developed countries, people focus on science and tech on a whole different level.. and there is lot of support and funding from Govts too. All we can do is to hope that we catch up. India is the only country which doesnt provide safety to its citizens amidst of communal violence, political violence etc.. It doesnt provide medical insurance or anything but expects every citizen to pay the taxes and impose price on liquor whatever they feel like to generate money. Politicians give freebies and dont have brains to create city plans or employment Nijam matladukunte, emicchindhi ani abdul kalam lu avvali cheppu.. Quote

India was ridiculed as a beggar nation (for requesting vaccines) in the W.H.O conference in Geneva, I believe. It's because of him India has now become a donor of vaccines from beggar. koti koti pranaam to him Quote

It's easy to get lost in this discussion, dont want to get into that. Every country has it own plus/minus... lets not compare. i) Can you live in USA if police doesn't function for a week, I am sure, we can live india. Atleast we dont loose life. ii) Does USA provide insurance? I pay my 15% monthly pacheck for average insurance in usa. while in India, for less than 1% of my annual salary, i got insurance for my family and parents also. (very good plan including dental, vision all etc) Just taking as USA as ref as its a developed country... USA is great.. india is also great in their own ways.. Quote
