On the other hand, If your choice also includes Container (aka commercial ships) you can provided you can pay a huge sum of money mostly in dollars to travel.

But once in a while private cruise liners have a package deal for which you may have to reach a sea port in India namely Bombay, Goa, kochi on the west coast and Chennai, Vishakaptnam and Calcutta on the Bay of Bengal including the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

You may have to travel to those ports with approved Visa documentation to country of your interest to travel along with valid Boarding pass to travel by ship.

So far there are ships which take you to Lakshadweep on west coast (Arabian Sea) & Andaman Nicobar Islands on the east coast (Bay of Bengal).
