Case Against Naga Babu For Praising Godse!

The Hyderabad police registered a complaint against actor and Jana Sena Party leader Konidela Naga Babu, younger brother of megastar Chiranjeevi, for praising Nathuram Godse, who had assassinated Mahata Gandhi in January 1948.

The complaint was lodged by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Koduri Manavatha Roy with Osmania University police station on Wednesday. The police are yet to register an FIR.

Roy alleged that Naga Babu had described Godse as a real patriot and the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi was a “debatable issue.”

“Naga Babu had insulted the entire nation with his utterances,” the Congress leader said.

While recalling the “glorious services” rendered by Nathuram Godse, Naga Babu tweeted on Tuesday praising Godse for doing what he had wanted to do.

“Knowing fully well that he would have face public wrath if he killed Gandhi, Nathuram had done what he wanted to do. One cannot question his patriotism. He is a true patriot. I felt like recalling his glorious services once on his birthday. Poor Nathuram Godse. May his soul rest in peace,” Naga Babu tweeted.

He blamed even the media for not projecting Godse’s point of view as it acted only in tune with the thinking of the then government.

It's an assassination not a murder. But Naga babu just expressed the thought that he might have done that due to his own motives which weren't clearly understood at that time, perhaps as much as they are today. 

But Naga Babu has a right to express what he wants and support who he wants without legal repercussions antunna tha's all. Not saying I support or oppose him in this matter.

personal opinion is fine, but as celebrity shouldn't have said it. godse is an extremist, and supporting an extremist no matter what passes wrong message to society.
