Depends on what T police/govt decides to do. Remember reading that members of All India Mahasabha were arrested in Gujarat for celebrating Godse’s birthday. Supreme Court said it was okay to criticize Gandhi, but obscenity or abusive words were not allowed. Since the complaint was raised by TPCC, they may take it easy.

The Hyderabad police registered a complaint against actor and Jana Sena Party leader Konidela Naga Babu, younger brother of megastar Chiranjeevi, for praising Nathuram Godse, who had assassinated Mahata Gandhi in January 1948.

Roy alleged that Naga Babu had described Godse as a real patriot and the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi was a “debatable issue.”

“Naga Babu had insulted the entire nation with his utterances,” the Congress leader said.

While recalling the “glorious services” rendered by Nathuram Godse, Naga Babu tweeted on Tuesday praising Godse for doing what he had wanted to do.

“Knowing fully well that he would have face public wrath if he killed Gandhi, Nathuram had done what he wanted to do. One cannot question his patriotism. He is a true patriot. I felt like recalling his glorious services once on his birthday. Poor Nathuram Godse. May his soul rest in peace,” Naga Babu tweeted.

He blamed even the media for not projecting Godse’s point of view as it acted only in tune with the thinking of the then government.
