odhu_le_macha Posted May 21, 2020 Author Report Posted May 21, 2020 oka badhithudi avedana: His marriage is an arranged one. His story is pretty funny. He got married at the age of 27. His family was looking for alliances since he turned 25. He rejected a girl saying she looks dark when he was 25. He said okay to the same girl when he turned 27. Turns out that both couldn't get a suitable partner for 2 years and my cousin feared that he wouldn't get married. My brother started balding and he reached a point where he was ready to marry anyone that he got engaged to a person whom he rejected 2 years back. I always feel people shouldn't take up decisions regarding marriage in a hurried manner. But my cousin did. My cousin got married without any dowry. But the girl's family had multiple conditions like own house, stable job etc. He worked in gulf as a HR. After marriage my brother's wife (who never went for a job so far) stayed as house wife. She was so arrogant. She doesn't even know to prepare a coffee. My brother gifted her a Samsung phone. She said she wants an iPhone. So my brother gifted that too. Even for normal festivals like Pongal or diwali she wants to buy sarees which costs 20k to 30k. She asked for an ipad and my brother got that too. Her arrogance reached peak. She ordered my cousin brother not to send even a single paisa to his mom and that everything should be given to her for managing the family. My cousin brother became so shameless that he obliged to this. This led to issues and family got separated . Three months back my brother was fired from his job. He had to return to India. She waited for one week . My cousin couldn't get a job in India. She took the kid and went to her mom's house. She even took her jewels back without informing anyone. Now my cousin brother is single and depressed. He was not allowed to see his daughter even for diwali. Cousin brother's family is thinking of final talks with her family . If it doesn't work out they are thinking of divorce. It bewilders me how can someone love money so much that they can thrash the relationship and be like this. Quote
