I don’t know. Venky comes off as a rich guy whenever I see him on screen. Prabhu is poor, dark and fat, the heroine is rich, fair and slim(?). The characters matched more in Tamil than in Telugu imo. The oddity of such a relationship is emphasized by how contrasting the characters are. But then again the protagonist was the first outside male in her life, it was as inevitable as death, so to speak.
