Canadian military releases 'deeply disturbing' report on conditions in Ontario long-term-care homes

On Tuesday, a military report compiled by Canadian Armed Forces personnel dispatched to help in five Ontario nursing homes during the pandemic was made public. The report — which premier Doug Ford called "the most heart-wrenching report I have ever read in my entire life" — describes dire conditions, including cockroach infestations, residents left in soiled diapers and forceful feeding of the elderly, among other troubling allegations.
