King has lost his seat after nine terms in Congress following the primary election in Iowa’s 4th congressional district. State senator Randy Feenstra beat King, who has been shunned by many in the party. King was stripped of his committee assignments in 2019 after he questioned in an interview with the New York Times how the terms “white nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization” became offensive.
