afacc123 Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 As we grow up and feel the pressure of age, we also feel pressure from those around us to find a partner and settle down. Don’t let this feeling get to you though as being single allows you to do a lot more things than being a relationship will do. If you’re single, it gives you time to find out more about yourself and find what you want out of your life. Let’s take a moment and think about some of the perks there are with being single. Quote

afacc123 Posted June 3, 2020 Author Report Posted June 3, 2020 1. BUILD A BETTER YOU When you are single, you will notice that you have a lot of free time on your hands compared to if you are in a relationship. Don’t waste your time by feeling for yourself. Instead, go out and do some activities that you’ve always wanted to do. Ever wanted to go to travel the world, go hiking, or maybe even try out bungee jumping? But you couldn’t because your partner was scared of you getting hurt. Take this opportunity to go out and do the things that you’ve always wanted to do. Quote

DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, WHENEVER YOU WANT TO DO IT Again, you aren’t limited to what you can do when you aren’t in a relationship. If you are in a relationship, the chances are that you will be spending a lot of time with your partner therefore you have to do activities that both of you enjoy. If you are single, it’s all about you! You have the freedom to go out and do whatever you want, and do it whenever you want to. Quote

NO GUILT WHEN HAVING A GUY’S OR GIRL’S NIGHT OUT When in a relationship, if you decided to go out on a night out with your friends, your partner could get jealous and felt unhappy that they couldn’t go out with you. But if you are single, you don’t have to feel guilty because of this at all and can enjoy the night without having to think about them. Quote

FIND A NEW HOBBY At several points in your life you will think to yourself that you want to begin a new hobby, although most of the time the problem is that you don’t have the time. Reach out with both hands and seize the opportunity of being single, and look for a new hobby that you’ve always wanted to try out. Maybe you wanted to take a cooking class, but couldn’t find the time for it when having a relationship. Being single gives you the chance to take on some new hobbies and spread your wings as an individual. Quote

FREEDOM TO DATE While you’re single, even if you aren’t looking for anything serious you can freely grab a drink with someone you’ve had your eye on. Maybe you met a cute guy or girl while you were at a cooking class, you can go out with them and have a little fun, while not taking on a serious relationship that will take up most of your free time. SOCIAL MEDIA FREEDOM When it comes to relationships and social media, you have to be careful of what you post or comment on. If you post a picture or a status and it is taken in the wrong context, it can easily destroy a relationship. If you aren’t in a relationship, then you can freely voice your thoughts on social media without having to worry about feeling the backlash from your partner. Quote

NO MORE SOCIAL MEDIA MONITORING Just like you had to watch what you had posted on social media, you would be monitoring your partner’s activity and checking on what they have been posting or liking. Without a partner, you won’t have the stress on your shoulders of your partner’s social media activity. Quote

MORE YOU TIME Relationships take time to work on, which means they take a lot of your free time. If you don’t have a partner, then you are able to fill your free time with something else that you may enjoy more. Take a moment and consider all the things that you will be able to fill your time with, as well as all the opportunities that you will be able to take advantage of that you couldn’t have before. NO MORE FORCED RELATIONSHIPS If you are in a relationship, you won’t only be in a relationship with your partner but you will have to accept their family and friends into your life. The chances are that there is someone in those groups that you are not too fond of. If you’re not in a relationship, then there’s no need try and force it to work simply to make someone else happy when you are unhappy. Quote

Taking your partner out to dinner, buying them gifts every so often, all of these things add up and can cost you a lot of money in the long run. Save up the money that you are saving when you’re not in a relationship and instead spend it on yourself, after all it is your money. Quote
