Two Hindu wedding ceremonies for same couple!?!

One of my friends wants to have two hindu wedding ceremonies in two different countries with a gap of 6 months, is this normal to do? Sampradhayam bongudhayam come in middle? How will society take this?

Ya anna, happy to see people giving positive responses here., I made this thread to see what people think in general as my friend’s family thinks it is not acceptable to have two weddings like that.
