The gist is this :

You can Buy Visa or Mastercard Giftcards from several places (online, grocery stores, gas station, drug stores etc.)

You can buy Money Orders (MOs) using these gift cards ( key is certain cards work at certain places only)

Deposit the MOs in bank (preferably a new bank account like local credit union etc) and do whatever you want.

It looks tiny. But once you get a hang of this process you need to scale to see real money. On an avg month I rotate 150K this way. It is quite a bit of work. But I make ~$2000 every month. My goal is to pay rent with this hobby and I have been successful for almost 3 years. 

There are several other cards to make the math better, but they have limits on years spend categories, annual fees etc. I do all those things but did not include the math for every model here. Above illustrated is my baseline math.

Read up the basics on Doctorofcredit, flyertalk and many places. But you will know the process only if you dip your toes.
