kakatiya Posted May 8 Author Report Posted May 8 French intelligence confirms that Rafael jet is down. This is quite embarrassing and big blow to Indians air defense.. we cannot afford such high losses at early stage .it great time this gujjus administration wakes up and inducts more funds in to air force fleet. kakatiya Posted May 8 Author Report Posted May 8 India must urgently focus its efforts on modernizing military equipment. There is strong evidence that Pakistan has deployed the PL-15 or PL-15E air-to-air missiles—systems that, on paper, surpass the capabilities of the Meteor missile. This isn't just a regional challenge; it's a prooxy confrontation with China, which is significantly ahead in military technology and already fielding fifth-generation fighter aircraft. Meanwhile, we continue to face setbacks in our indigenous capabilities. Despite decades of effort, HAL has yet to successfully produce a reliable indigenous jet engine. Production of the Tejas remains below required levels, and we are still struggling to scale up our defense manufacturing. Given these realities, India must prioritize accelerated development in critical defense technologies—especially propulsion, sensors, and weapons systems—and build partnerships that enhance both capability and self-reliance. The offer also includes KJ-500 early warning and control aircraft, further enhancing Pakistan's aerial surveillance and defence capabilities. pakistan getting fifth gen fighters 😡😡😡😡😡😡 kj 500 is alsp huge asset.. kakatiya Posted June 12 Author Report Posted June 12 Air india 171 disaster: Aircraft is still very low 200=300 agl. Landing gear was still out but flaps appear not be extended. Flap failure possibly not reported as an error in cockpit. Pilot never made a distreess call. Failure to adjust flap settings with full engine power and nose pointing up can create stall. This is a very heavy aircraft. If all these assumptions are true this can be a software or sensor system.. Boeing is being accused of such software failures /sensor system failures repeatedly. Also note that air India removed turkish maintenance team from attending their aircrafts and replaced completely with domestic crew beacuse of recent diplomatic failures. Quote
kakatiya Posted June 17 Author Report Posted June 17 Air India cancelled six international flights - all using the 787-8 Dreamliner - Tuesday amid increased scrutiny of Boeing's flagship aircraft after the horrific crash last week in Ahmedabad. The cancelled services are AI 915 (Delhi-Dubai), AI 153 (Delhi-Vienna), AI 143 (Delhi-Paris), AI 159 (Ahmedabad-London), AI 133 (Bengaluru-London) and AI 170 (London-Amritsar). In addition to these, a technical issue also affected a Dreamliner operating as AI 315 to Delhi, forcing the pilot to return to Hong Kong. Also, two Dreamliners operated by Lufthansa and British Airways - flying from Frankfurt and London to Hyderabad and Chennai - were forced to return to their origin airports. Quote
