If companies start giving permanent work from home, Then there is no reason for some people to stay in cities. Big question is will companies give that option even after corona . They will save lot of money on Hyderabad rents if they can make remote culture work.

btw can u guarantee same infrastructure as hyd in rural india 

it not only work there are other things which hyderabad offers most rural TG cannot offer

 u cannot get 1gbps internet in 40 km from hyd 

not even broadband too

continous power supply is not possible in tier 2/3 towns and villages in india.

at best indian IT companies will set up offics (already happening) in tier 2 cities - nagpur, warangal, vizag and move help desk, support testing projects there.

i heard tcs,wipro paying 10K to 20K salaries in those towns.

Temp phase, once Corona thing is over people will come back because very few jobs in India can be done remotely. Also reliable  internet, medical care, higher education, power supply are only available in big metros in India. In the US there are a lot of lower priced metro areas that can offer the same amenities..

India lo IT jobs are only 2 to 5% of the total economy but US lo it is like 25% cities in US especially NY, LA and Bay Area will be effected as more and more jobs will become remote.

I don't know about remote rural villages. But few of my friends are working from home in tier 2 cities since 3-4 months. No power or internet problems so far.
