How many men sacrifice their career to take care of the family? You're your kid's role model, what are you teaching your children by staying at home? That they need to sacrifice their career because they were born with a va-gina? It's ridiculous. How is this gender bias? There has been an increase in the number of women wanting to stay at home since 1999 - 23% to 29%. It clearly suggests that women are choosing to stay at home out of their own will. If men/society were really oppressing them to stay at home then why would it increase after decreasing since the 70s? Families may be getting richer and some women maybe opting to not work- reasons like loving to be with kids/stressful work environments could be there. Some women love to take care of their family and if they choose to be stay at home moms then so be it. They have the right to do so. So what if they are educated? You don’t have to work just because you are educated. Opinions and ambitions change with time and circumstances too. Quote

Mothers play a major role in raising kids until they get to 4 or 5 yrs.. they are also emotionally more attached than the father.. babies come from the mother and she feeds them for nearly an year.. men cannot play the same role.. it is a full time job and honestly they are big shoes to fill in.. unless you give birth to a kid and raise them, you are not eligible to judge.. good news is men are increasingly taking responsibilities in raising the kids from an infant stage.. I don’t know if any father in our generation who did not change diapers or gave baths to their kids when they were infants.. not here in US.. not in India.. Quote
