Why not others ? Every other field loki andaru vachesaru kada. zarathustra Posted June 28, 2020 Report Posted June 28, 2020 It's not about non Brahmin priests not being there in temples, the problem is that you barely making a living as a priest now a days so it's not an attractive profession for most people to get into. Brahmins do it due to karma siddhantham plus due to it being a family profession(I am only talking about the ones that do), so they know going into it that life is going to be a struggle if you choose that way of life 1 Quote

I guess it is too tough and not worth a job in many temples except for the rich temples.. in famous temples, endowments dept will manage them and priests don’t have much of a say.. Quote

And I think other caste people can be priests in temples, there are no restrictions. but people let brahmins do it following status quo as disturbing it doesn't reward them much. Quote
