Yes if penetration is deep enough for Y chromosome sperm to reach egg before it dies and before X chromosome reaches then there is best chance for egg to become male..

the timing and the penetration depth decides the gender

Gender can't be revealed until ultra scan and that too fetus big enough to see private part.

There are tests like when urine bubbles and all but those are not accurate.

Skipping 3 days is pretty common, good luck anyways.
