rental mgmt in India is really pain .. tenants will surely damage the house after 1 yr of stay.. malli no liability ..we cannot go to court as everyone knows... tenants know owners are NRIs

its a blunder if someone is investing for rental income in india

India lo no one buys for rent, they buy for appreciation. If you want rental returns you buy in the US. If you want appreciation you buy in India..

Well said here bro. I sold my other apartment due this pain and kept only one for my personal use when we visit. Its vacant most of the time. I had tenants, but got them out because of these headaches.

 

Do not plan as a rental property, unless you have your own family closeby to observe and take 100% responsibility - which is difficult these days.

the best way for investment I learnt hardway is - buy lands NOT in hot property areas, but those ones which will be hot in 5 to 10 yrs time. That is the time you will have ideas and plans to go back or return for good.
