ETF'S for longterm

Monthly i want to add some money in to longterm ETF's using  some broker..I want to diversify portfolio ..Need some suggestions from exp guys..

I shortlisted 2 as of now: VGT , QQQ ..

also look into Mutual funds too....low risk

this is not for long term If market stays stagnant, it will go down.
