Spartan Posted July 13, 2020 Report Posted July 13, 2020 BTW Yellow Frogs are poisonous.. usually found in South America... need to see if they belong to same species Quote
Spartan Posted July 13, 2020 Report Posted July 13, 2020 A large group of yellow Indian bullfrogs was spotted in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur district. A short clip shared by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan on Twitter shows the amphibians croaking and jumping around in a small water body. Kaswan said the Indian bullfrogs have the ability to change colour during monsoon to attract females. "Have you ever seen Yellow frogs. Also in this number. They are Indian #bullfrog seen at Narsighpur. They change to yellow during monsoon & for attracting the females. Just look how they are enjoying rains," Kaswan Bullfrogs are large species of frogs found in India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan. In a follow-up tweet, Kaswan stated that the appearance of bullfrogs in large groups has no relation to COVD-19 or locusts. The behaviour is normal, he said. “The only issue is whether so many males will get their ladies. The competition is real,” Kaswan wrote on Twitter. Indian bullfrogs are usually not bright yellow in colour, as seen in the video. But the males can change colour during the breeding season, according to Gonefroggin.com. Quote
