Nothing wrong in it. If you were going to be the Managing director of a million dollar firm after MBA, it's better you get a seat than a mediocre person making six figure salary. The former needs management lessons better than the latter.

Nope. She graduated in 2009 from Santa Clara University (according to her LinkedIn profile 2007-2009). She is 1985/86 born. According to my brother, he met her in 2005/6 (who is not a senior) at CBIT in their festival Carpediem or something. So, i don't think she wasted 2 yrs in between. Master's at Santa Clara. Her younger sister also studied at the same univ for MBA it seems.
