As i said there are two sides of the coin.

i will ok with my parents living with me forever but i may be uncomfortable with inlaws doing the same. My bro in law may have the same feeling my parents go & live with my sister family.

We're obsessed with the concept of sons carrying our legacy, family name and all, which is in fact a myth. 

Our sons do not carry our legacy, they carry a so called surname which some hundreds or thousands of our relatives also possess as their surname. This is in case of telugu people.

Next take the example of tamils. A guy 'X' gets his last name as his father's ('Y') name, but same X's son will not the grand father ('Y') name as last name, he gets his last name as his father's name 'X'. So the grand father('Y') chapter is closed.

Rajakiya varasatvam is not a property to share or write and give bro.

For that matter, when NTR was out of his house, he lived in a house purchased by his youngest daughter who was in US at that time and purchased that house with her earning.
