Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway project got stalled for 20 years because of challenges in acquiring 500 acres of land aquision between Nalgonda and Suryapet. After Jaipal Reddy became MP from Miryalguda, attempts were made for out of court settlements and only then the crucial highway between Hyd-Vij became a 4 expressway

Now, 35,000 acres were acquired under land pooling in such a short span of time...How did it happen ?

The agreement was in commerical in nature and market dependent..

no one ever promised any kind of lucrative real estate rates for such lands..

Nothing was promised by the the government...it was individuals who believed they can sell their land for 10 crores but no such promise was ever made by anyone..

People who gave up lands should have protested or expressed their inability to do so at the time of handing over their lands..

All the people have gave up their lands , did so hoping they would get plots which will be of much more worth than their land and will be able to make more money than farming if they surrender their lands..

If the so called 'farmers' were really interested, they would have demanded land for land swap in Amaravati but did they do ? No...because they were more interested in real estate than agriculture..They opted for land plots in exchange of their farm lands and Do you think they would farm in such plots ? The intent is clear..its for profit and real estate but not for sacred farming..what are all these protests happening for ? Because they realized that their lands will not fetch what the expected for or is it just because they had change in mindset and want to go back to farming ?

Don't make farming community a scapegoat for the sake of argument..
