I am starting my PHD in business administration with focus in HR in next couple of weeks. For me it’s passion to do PHD not for immigration benefit, since I already have GC. My employer is covering most of the cost (almost 70%). I completed my MBA last year with courtesy of the employer (paid half of the tuition fee rest through financial aid).

There are so many pharma guys in IT these days. I know they will make some money in IT, but long term he has to go through the h1 circus. PHDs are hired by many pharmaceutical companies and even pharmacy jobs are not bad. Pharmacists make 120k where I live. He will get a GC too. There is no point in getting into IT.
