It's a cycle, Republicans are good for the economy, bad for diversity. California didn't get where it is without voting red until the 90s. Quote

California is also the most diverse, that influences political decisions. The most recent AB5 rule against Uber and Lyft is retrogressive. Doesn't mean California is business friendly, does it? Quote

When companies started in the Bay area, people voted red, it was business friendly. You're seeing the fruits of opening up the economy in the 70s and 80s. California didn't get here by giving out freebies. Quote

Even republicans in California are socially liberal for the most part (racists are exempt). California was always business friendly and are smart about what businesses they want to encourage. you want them to give breaks to coffee shops and bodyshoppers like Uber, They prefer Intel, Google, and probably the next life sciences unicorn company, and the next quantum tech company. california is not for small businesses.. It hasnt been so for a few decades. Its the choice they made. Quote
Milehigh Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 Yeah but California, Illinois and New York at certain point have to get bailed out by the fed in the coming 10 years, because of the deals made by Jerry brown, Gavin newsome, Cuomo, with the unions on the pensions. Those states are almost running dry and that is the reason they are trying to tax more. That is what you get when u are run by liberals Quote
