"There is no change in the condition of Pranab Mukherjee. His vitals and clinical parameters are stable and he continues to be on ventilator support. The health condition of the former president who also has multiple old co-morbidities is being closely monitored by a team of specialists," the hospital said in a statement. The health condition of Mukherjee had also remained unchanged on Saturday, according to the Army hospital, which had also said the former President was under intensive care and continues to be on ventilator support. Abhijit Mukherjee, son of Pranab Mukherjee, said today that his father`s health condition is "much better and stable". He informed that he had visited his father on Saturday, and had found out that he is responding to treatment and expressed the belief that "he will be back among us soon." Mukherjee, 84, was admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi Cantt for emergency surgery of brain clot. Later he also tested positive for COVID-19. was admitted on Monday morning after testing positive for COVID-19, sources said on Tuesday. "On a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure, I have tested positive for COVID-19 today. Former President Pranab Mukherjee continues to be in deep coma but is haemodynamically stable, the hospital treating him said on Sunday. Doctors attending to 84-year-old Mukherjee said he is on ventilator support and is being treated for lung infection. Doctors say a patient is haemodynamically stable when his blood circulation parameters, like blood pressure, heart and pulse rate, are stable and normal. Mukherjee was admitted to the Army’s Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi on August 10 and was operated upon the same day for removal of a clot in the brain. He had also tested positive for COVID-19 during his admission. He later developed a lung infection and had a renal dysfunction, they added. “Shri Pranab Mukherjee is being treated for lung infection. He continues to be in a deep coma and on ventilator support. He remains haemodynamically stable,” the hospital said in a statement. Mukherjee was the 13th President of India from 2012-2017. Quote
