she is considered avatar of lakshmi. so she is worshipped as a goddess.

Remember Rama was the king, so personally even if Rama had no doubts about Sita, he had the ethical obligation of restoring the peace in his kingdom.  The harsh words spoken by people about her disturbed him. He expresses the same with her, which is when Sita reacted and asks Lakshmana to set the pyre for her to test her character and prove it to people....Rama agrees to prove to people only to avoid the chaos that may occur in the kingdom because of this so called Scandal.

If they didn't do anything extraordinary, then are they telling people that that's all we need to do? It could be any human who did what Rama and Seeta did. In other words, how do we normal humans know if we are an avatar of a God?

am not a fan of Ram and Sita's story honestly. Lot of separation and suffering

I am not necessarily saying it's fiction, I am asking what we can learn from it.
