My point was about baboru claiming 75% of the work being done. He only did 25% that too counting work done in YSR time.

Jalaganna will be a big fool if he misses the opportunity finish this project in his term. Baboru did the same mistake.

(a) the status of the progress of the Polavaram project till date; (b) whether the Government has released the remaining funds of its share for the completion of this project; (c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; (d) whether the project is likely to be completed within the original deadline set for its completion; and (e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons for such delay along with estimated time for completion of this project?   ANSWER THE MINISTER OF JAL SHAKTI (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT) (a) to (e) A Statement is laid on the Table of the House. ***** STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (e) OF STARRED QUESTION No. *207 TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 05.03.2020 REGARDING “POLAVARAM PROJECT” ASKED BY SHRI KESINENI SRINIVAS. (a) As reported by Govt of Andhra Pradesh, the overall progress of the Polavaram Irrigation Project (PIP) is 69.54% upto 27th Feb 2020. (b) to (e) As per Ministry of Finance letter dated 30.09.2016, Central Government is to provide 100% of the remaining cost of irrigation component only of the Polavaram Irrigation Project (PIP) for the period starting from 01.04.2014 to the extent of the cost of the irrigation component on that date. Accordingly, Central Govt has been reimbursing the expenditure incurred by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on the PIP with effect from 01.04.2014. Total Central Assistance (CA) of Rs. 8614.16 Cr (including Rs 1850 Cr in Feb, 2020) has been released to the project from time to time as per eligible proposals recommended by PPA and Central Water Commission (CWC). For further release of funds, Ministry of Finance vide its letter No. 14(10)/PF-II/2016 dated 26.07.2018 and later vide letter No. F.No. 10 (14)/PF-II/2016 dated 06.05.2019 has requested for submission of - (i) Audited Statement of Expenditure incurred by the State on the project till 31.03.2014, & (ii) Revised Cost Estimates (RCE) of the project at 2013-14 Price Level (PL). Ministry of Finance vide letter dated 26.11.2019 has again conveyed that no further releases would be made pending finalization of audit of expenditure etc. by the State Govt. CWC vide letter dated 7.5.2019 has intimated that RCE of the project at PL 2013-14, taking into account revised quantities of various works, is Rs.54,466.1 Cr. Further, as reported by the State Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Principal Accountant General (PAG) office, Hyderabad has completed the audit of Rs. 3777.44 Cr out of total expenditure of Rs.5135.87 Cr (now tentatively indicated as Rs. 5175.25 Cr as per ongoing audit) incurred up to 31.3.2014. Further release of fund for PIP is dependent upon the compliance by the State Government on the above. As informed by the State Govt, PIP is planned to be completed by December, 2021.
