r2d2 Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 The GHMC officials said there was nothing to panic as the lake was designed in a way that 1.50 metres can flow above the maximum water level of 514.91 metres. With intermittent rains lashing the city and suburbs since the last few days, the water level in Hussain Sagar reached the Full Tank Level capacity of 513.41 metres. In fact, the water level on Sunday was recorded at 513.64 metres. However, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials said there was nothing to panic as the lake was designed in a way that 1.50 metres can flow above the maximum water level of 514.91 metres. With steady inflows, excess water was draining out downstream through the sluice gates at Hotel Marriott end. Quote
