Breaking: Mohan Babu gets one year jail

Actor and producer Mohan Babu has been sentenced to one year jail by Erramanzil Court. Apart from the sentence, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 41.75 Lakhs for the Collection King.

Mohan Babu received this punishment in a cheque bounce case filed by filmmaker YVS Chowdary. In 2010, YVS directed Mohan Babu's son Manchu Vishnu's movie 'Saleem.' As remuneration, Mohan Babu handed over a cheque of Rs 48 Lakh to YVS and later the cheque got invalid. On this the director cum producer approached the court.

In this case, the court has accused Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures as A1 while Mohan Babu as A2. After hearing and arguments, the court found fault in Mohan Babu's side and gave its verdict. As this news hit the headlines, the Manchu family remained unavailable for a comment.
