I get this a lot. People including my bf say that I dont dress like american and I shuld act a certain way because I am in the US from my teens. Like stfu ani cheppalanipisthadi na bf ki sometimes lol.

US lo untey elaghe undali ani endhuku set chestharu and judge others????

India lo unte money problems in buying clothes anukovacchu (that’s why I asked if she is in the US). US lo unte enti problem to buy even average clothes? Clothes are cheaper in America compared to India. Can we imagine someone going to work in such clothes? Even the poorest Americans working for minimum wages don’t wear such clothes. I’m not saying we should  dress like Americans - I’m saying we should not wear clothes that would make others laugh at us and create a poor perception about us (and the rest of us). Others may not tell us on our face but they develop (and nurture) these perceptions. She even made a video in those clothes! She maybe highly educated but education alone isn't enough - konchem common sense and dressing sense kuda undala. I see people making videos about their clothes haul saying they bought them for 10-15 dollars. That’s really cheap. What kind of clothes can one buy for 10-15 bucks?

I get what you are saying. This is exactly what my mom tells us too. Situation batti dressing up is what I follow. Obviously parties kani meetings kani veskune dressing veru but casual shopping ki (not meeting anyone) kuda oka certain way lo undali ante kastam and I dress like super super comfortable in my home and my mom has problem with that. Ne dressing sense ni judge chesedhi when other people see you or meet you.. alanti situation lo obviously manchi clothes ye veskuntam kani 24 hrs elaghe undali ani argue chesthene kopam.

10-15 dollars clothes vlogs vallu content kosam chestharu le and valla istam and that is tooo much min 500-600 oka shopping visit lo pettandhi manchi clothes ravu ..

People can find brand new, unused clothes on eBay at a huge discount. There are Marshalls, TJMaxx and other discount stores that sell brand new branded name clothes at 50-60% discount of original cost and some are on sale for like 80% discount. If people really want to go cheap but look great, they could go to Goodwill, thrift stores and flea markets where they can find very good used clothes, shoes, furniture, etc in great condition for less than 10 bucks.

Even when we go to Macy’s, we try and buy brand new clothes - that were already TRIED on by others, lol.

How is that different?

We eat at Indian restaurants in plates and glasses (God knows how clean they are) - that were used by other customers for years!
