Popular Post hyperbole Posted August 23, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted August 23, 2020 I wish I could forget this show just so I could watch it again. For me personally Breaking Bad is easily the best and most iconic show ever made. just binge watching it again after a long time and can’t appreciate enough the acting, script writing and direction. Best thing about breaking bad was that every episode was created equally, no saving all the action for the finale 3 Quote
Bhumchik Posted August 23, 2020 Report Posted August 23, 2020 Every series show has a cult following with 5 star ratings from binge watching. Viewers forgive producers even if they make a couple of episodes suck bad. Breaking bad has some lousy episodes too - like the fly in the lab they try to catch and they spend a whole episode on it which is boring. These series shows also use tricks like jumping right into adult content to grab more viewership - like wife maasturbating hubby right in the first episode. Also see the 2nd episode of Game of Thrones. Holy crap! Quote

Also see the 2nd episode of Game of Thrones +1 100% agree. once we start binge watching invariably we want to finish even if the quality is going down but we just don't notice it because we are attached to those characters. I felt that with The wire or GOT as well but I still watched them all without skipping I think it would be a great achievement as a director/creator if they can captivate a viewer who is watching just that one episode. Most episodes are built that way anyway with recaps at the beginning. Quote

They create a clever continuity from one episode to another making us wait for the next episode eagerly, resulting in Binge watching. Binge watching issue is the reason I shy away from series shows. Watching a 50 episode series could take weeks which I could use to do more productive things in life instead Quote

Each has merits and demerits, Breaking Bad does a uniform justice in all departments- Bryan cranston was in total realm actingwise. Fly in the lab although poorly received but in my opinion it has a deep meaning on the reflection of Mr. White’s changing obsessive behavior and also compares to the obsessiveness of Gus Fring when he talks to him employee about the batter/fried chicken. His eccentric behavior and obsession to control, frustration to control others are delivered through that episode. Basically taking you through the process of breaking bad on how the protagonists character evolved as the series progresses. It is the only episode which rated below 8.0 on IMDB but I don’t have much to complain. Quote
chanchala Posted August 23, 2020 Report Posted August 23, 2020 It's an okay show but I can't remember anything from it. It works as a novel though really well. I can remember a whole lot of scenes from Lost. Twin Peaks. Even person of interest. Haha. I remember even Chuck scenes But for some reason I can't remember any scene from bb. But I liked the show Quote

chanchala Posted August 23, 2020 Report Posted August 23, 2020 Breaking bad tries to be cool, and is cool for a season but it quickly descends into mayhem. I think it's due to uncool nerdy main character. I prefer actually cool shows like Firefly, cowboy bebop, steins gate Quote

It is good but no where near to be considered in the same league as BB Quote
idibezwada Posted August 23, 2020 Report Posted August 23, 2020 hands down one of the best shows..i am a great fan of how they created walts character..the transition of his character from feared to fearless is so smooth that viewers will not even realize until they go back n watch the 1st couple of episodes Quote
naughty15 Posted August 23, 2020 Report Posted August 23, 2020 I like prison break and then any series. 1 Quote

We know that but they did not have drag on to spend a whole episode on catching a fly - like they ran out of ideas. Quote
