Even if he wants to use unused visa numbers, congress approval is needed. in 2007, Bush made the dates current (venaka democrats and republican are ok to make the dates current...bayatiki edho..uscis technical issue ani color ichchaaru) so that every can apply AOS and he did not approved unused visas. dal123 Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 They don't give. They want to use as a leach and control the India relations (Mainly H1-B). AILA and NASCOM are very strong lobbyist. USCIS has hiked the fees effective from Oct 2020 (Earlier EAD and AP with I 485 and subsequent extensions) for I 485 and I 765. So I am expecting some sort of relief to gain political benefit. It is not about Indian community votes. It is all about political donations. Now a days, indians are donating to the political parties whoever wins( Trump / Binden), next year they have to open the gates for tech immigrants to rebuild the economy. Politicians care about economy and they dont care about unemployment. There is no sentiment in the corporate world. In order to rebuild the economy they need all sorts of people (cheap, slave..obedient..extended hours...etc) and free movement of labor. I am expecting they will open f1 gates like anything. Quote
