heypilla Posted August 29, 2020 Report Posted August 29, 2020 Info Needed: I recently got converted to a FT and my FT benefits will start after 1 month of employment. My old employer is terminating my insurance and he is not offering COBRA insurance. Is there any alternative to COBRA insurance to have the insurance for 1-2 months until my FT Insurance Benefits starts? Any Leads? Thanks in Advance!! Quote

CH_Desi Posted August 29, 2020 Report Posted August 29, 2020 I think COBRA is mandatory if your employers is employing more than 20 people. Quote
chicagosubbu Posted August 29, 2020 Report Posted August 29, 2020 You will have 3 months time to opt for cobra, by that time you will already be with new employer with new insurance. if you have visited doctor in that 1 month gap then opt for cobra, that will cover from the day you left previous company. if you are scheduling any doctor visit make sure your appointment don’t fall in that one month. again it is just my thought, you know about your situation better than me, think wisely Quote
