USA: If its in USA, you have to register it with FAA and also if flying for hobby no need for license but if you are planning the drone footage for commercial purpose, you need to get license. I bought and returned Mavic Air 2 because there are too many restrictions like you can't just fly anywhere (national parks, tourist spots etc), there are designated areas for flying. However if you don't want to register your drone with FAA, it should be less than 250g (so you can buy mavic mini which weighs 249 g). if you want to use the drone footage from mavic mini for commercial purpose, you still need to get license. India: Every country has drone rules, So please check with the country drone rules. Also when you cary drones, some countries do not allow drones and may seize it at the airport. if your budget is <500, I recommend DJI Mavic Mini. As per my research its best! Quote
