What did trump do though wrt to China? He delayed selling military equipment to Taiwan and helped China in the process. He is going to say something and do exactly the opposite though..Biden is clear. The tariffs will be gone and what happens with China is upto the commerce department and the state department.

In the name of the phase-one trade deal, he allowed China to have its way with Taiwan and Hong Kong. Given the corona crisis, that trade deal will also die. It probably is already dead given that China has already told its companies to not import American agro products. If trade with China is left to the state department then sanctions (re Uighurs, Taiwan and Hong Kong) can be slapped through the magnitsky act. With the trade deal almost dead, what is there in his arsenal to do anything? If re-elected, there will be another likely to fail trade deal which will allow China to do whatever it wants.
