The plan is to link Kaleshwaram- Ranganayaka sagar(already completed) to gandipet via anatagiri(musi). Only when  it is done GO 111 will be repealed. In fact they stopped using gandipet for drinking needs since godavari and krishna are supplementing.

2010 was only year it received good inflows, 2013 absolute worst for Gandipet and this year as well because of the upstream checkdams and water harvesting done in some 100 villages upstream.

illegal activity unnadi catchment area but those activity is not in the river stream or upstream and more like in the victiny or towards ORR. 80-90% inflows to gandipet are from vikarabad and anatagiri forests(didn’t receive good rainfall in the catchment this year)

Remember, there was no lake in the first place. An artificial lake was constructed by building a dam across the lake and reservoir was created to control the flood and provide for drinking water.

Secondly, GO111 repeal valla Gandipet endi potadi anukunte, adi mee vignathake vadilestunna. 
 

Already dependence on Gandipet for water is reduced drastically as Manjeera and Singur, Krishna 3 phases provide for more than half of daily water requirement these days and once other works are finished, Osman and Himayathsagar will be used as storage and reserve purpose but not for main purpose.

Now when you almost stop using drawing water from the lake, 90% catchment which is intact, is more than enough to fill the waterbody.

Gandipet very rarely gets filled during August-September. It usually gets its surplus water from Southwest monsoon by when the upstream vikarabad and anantagiri receives rainfall and local tanks would be filled up already and excess water flows downstream to the lake.

October-November is the time when Gandipet gets its i flows mostly.

Pre-2014, During 1995-2004 and in 1983 too, situation is the same and nothing has changed much except the 10% catchment where there is massive exploitation.

G O 111 has complicated the green laws entirely. 
 

Gram Panchayat layouts ni you cannot stop. Local housing you cannot stop, almost all the area subject to exploitation is owned by private players and individuals.

While GO111 is still in place, you are building residential homes, colonies, gated communities, agri culture, Roads, Cibic amenities etc.

Except Major and minor industries, everything else is happening and GO111 is too weak to protect the lakes.

Its a Government order, not a legislation and implementing this GO is tricky as you can always go to court and get a favorable verdict. With this GO, you cannot even stop  registration or even notify the effected survey numbers.

You can still buy land and get it registered in your name in the same notifies zones under GO111, then what is that you are complaining about ? 
 

This GO is so weak that it cannot even halt transfers of title, even if sub registrar gives it a pause, one can go to court and get a court order to get it registered...This is how a GO works.

@Sreeven If you want to protect the lakes, you need legislation, not a Government Order. 
 

More and more encroachments are happening because of a weak GO111, it’s not even able to stop exploitation because the GO is not designed to do protect the lakes.

For people who can use common sense, scroll back and see my earlier comments..

GO111 cannot stop encroachments because it’s a government order not legislation.

The same people can also see my earlier comment, where I clearly said GO should be recalled as it failed to fulfill the purpose.
