I bought something from a liquor store and was walking back to my car , a black lady pulled up next to my car and asked if i could help her with some money to buy groceries. She said she works for the government(don't remember which org) and she had her two kids in the car with her. I said "OK , let's go to the Target store near by and you can buy groceries , i ll pay the bill but please keep it under 200$". She followed me in her car to the Target store and came inside with her two kids. I told her to finish her shopping quickly and that i need to rush back home quickly for an errand but in reality i was not comfortable walking around with a stranger. She said that she needs an hour at least to complete her shopping but when i told her to be quick ,she walked out of the store and drove off. I came back home and i still feel bad about that episode sometimes. Was i wrong? exaclty similar thing happened to me when I went to a store, and came out and about to start my car, a lady pulled her old van next to my car, there were 2/3 kids inside.. she wasnt even wearing mask.. she said her kids are hungry.. thought of paying for foodin the store in front of me,.. but covid time and she's not even wearing mask, so dropped the idea, and just found 8$+some change in the car gave it to her with the glass down few inches (and told her as she's wearing mask, and s0rry for not opening the glass).. .. khel khatam dukaan band. hoping she would pay for food not something else. dont think about it too much.. if you really offered 200$ worth shoppoing, that's overkill. But its good idea to give something/pay for rather than give money, Quote
