When it comes to last chapter, I feel a little anxious, the anxiety of putting the book down. Sort of like hitting a finish line. Chala sarlu I did not finish the last chapters. Fiction ke avtadi idi mostly. Non-fiction I don't read in order. Rarely. Random chapters a pick cheskoni chaduvtanu. Unless the book is too good like history or alternate archaeology, these I could never put them down.

Aina it depends on the book I guess. If it is too bad and boring, why waste time to continue and focus on reading. We can always jump to the next one.

Coming to avg reading time, it really varies from book to book.

Ellenuuuu ❤️

so adi control lo unte you can focus :)

idhe how?

Focus comes with practice. May be set a timer(eg. pomodoro) for X mins and take a break after that. Once you are successfully reading in X-minute blocks, try increasing X to (X+d) blocks.

Meditation, eliminating distractions from life, productivity apps (self control, block site, etc) can help too

High school lo Harry Potter without sleep 2-3 days lo complete chesedanini

I did this with Lord of the rings. 9th class half yearly holidays lo, did not sleep till I finished. Mainly because I borrowed the book from a guy and he was very strict that I should return in a week, otherwise his parents will kick him

Wouldn’t  start unless

1) good interest

2) time allotted n limited

3) determination

in my observation...while book reading two types of diversions...

1. Random thoughts or diversions like (checking social media or news or TV..etc)

this is the place we need improvement....like @redsox said...

2. Another Diversion...is trying to explore more if we find interesting word while reading...

for example - recently while i reading one book (Capitalism a graphic guide..)i read the word "anglo-spanish war"...so i stopped the book google and researching in Wikipedia about anglo-spanish war...which finally diverted my attention...

i decided going forward...those interesting  topics i need to list out...and research them only after finishing the book..not while reading the book...
