జలపాతంలో జారి పడి మృతి

గుడ్లవల్లేరు, న్యూస్‌టుడే: అమెరికాలోని ఓ జలపాతంలో ప్రమాదవశాత్తు పడి కృష్ణా జిల్లా యువతి ఒకరు దుర్మరణం చెందారు. కృష్ణా జిల్లా గుడ్లవల్లేరుకు చెందిన పోలవరపు లక్ష్మణరావు, అరుణ దంపతులకు ఇద్దరు కుమార్తెలు. రెండో కుమార్తె కమల (26) గుడ్లవల్లేరులో ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ పూర్తి చేసి అమెరికా వెళ్లారు. ఎంఎస్‌ పూర్తి చేసి ఉద్యోగం చేస్తున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం కొలంబియాలో ఉంటున్నారు. శనివారం బంధువుల ఇంటికి వెళ్లి తిరిగొస్తూ అట్లాంటా సమీపంలోని జలపాతంవద్ద ఆగారు. అక్కడ సెల్ఫీ తీసుకునే క్రమంలో ప్రమాదవశాత్తూ జలపాతంలో పడి మృతి చెందారు. నాట్స్‌ సహకారంతో ఆమె మృతదేహాన్ని భారత్‌ తీసుకొచ్చేందుకు ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నారు.

Her fiance told responders that they were standing at the top of the falls when they both slipped and fell into the water.

Bystanders pulled her fiance out of the water but could not find Polavarapu, according to the incident report. After 30-40 minutes, they found her trapped under a log that was caught in a current. They pulled her out onto a rock and started CPR until first responders arrived.

Polavarapu was pronounced dead at Sweetwater Hospital, according to the report.

Chief Deputy Chris White said the incident appears to be accidental.

People underestimate how dangerous water can be , even a ace swimmer will drown in a flowing stream .
