Nagarjuna To Play YS Jagan in Yatra 2

Here is the interesting update. Akkineni Nagarjuna, who has played myriad roles in his career, is all set to don a new role. Buzz in film circles has it that Nagarjuna would be seen as CM YS Jagan in an upcoming biographical film Yatra 2, sequel to Yatra.

While Yatra was a film based on YSR’s Padayatra which saw legendary actor Mammootty playing the iconic role of late CM YSR. Now, director Mahi has penned a script for the Yatra sequel. This sequel focuses on the Padayatra of YS Jagan and his journey from Opposition leader to Chief Minister where he won with a record majority in 2019.

Considering that YS Jagan’s political journey has more interesting elements and lows and highs in his political career, director Mahi is hopeful that Yatra 2 would be interesting than Yatra. Since Akkineni Nagarjuna shares a great bond with YS family and is a close friend of YS Jagan, Nagarjuna is considered for the lead role. Apparently, Nag is also mulling over to give his consent for the film.

Though the likes of Suriya was also considered, the makers have finally voted for Nagarjuna. If Nag comes on board, the expectations on Yatra 2 may surpass. Let’s wait and watch. An official confirmation is expected shortly.

Irrespective of that Nag has a tendency of going with who ever is in power to get his work done ..
