Both schools and hospitals fees raised more than inflation in last decade. Their owners realized since those are basic needs, they can form syndicate and raise prices in overall sector.  

Same with college and health care fees here in US too.

My DAD paid 3000 rupees for donation in my school , lot of months late fees 

standing outside for a period and than pay the fees 

my nieces are paying 2 laks per year for 5th and 7th grade 

lucky for Kids in US no need to worry about fees
