Charlotte vs Raleigh

We are thinking to move NC. Which is better for .NET developer job opportunities Charlotte or Raleigh? I'm working as consultant in NYC.

What are the max pay rate in these areas?

In south Charlotte please suggest desi living rental apartments. .

Both areas are don’t have much Jobs. Find one job and stick to it till yoou find one more. Unfortunately If something happens very hard to get Job immediately . I never lived in those place but that is my observation , I ma be wrong.

Raleigh software companies, Charlotte banks so Raleigh ey better emo

Charlotte is more corporate-style than Raleigh. For specific fields or niche - RTP may be better. If your skillset is very generic and can tolerate old school corporates Charlotte is better. 

I dont live there but friends moved and have office visits to RTP. From what I saw/heard Charlotte is a bigger job market and relatively lesser cost of living.

Donno about Rayleigh but Charlotte is a difficult market for H1Bs.

Major employers are Wellsfargo , Bofa and TIAACREF.

Layoffs at Wells, at Bofa you need to be on their W2 and TIAACREF you need internal link.

There are some others...but limited hiring.
