The government has undertaken landmark agricultural reforms, freeing farmers from restrictions on sale of their produce and ending the monopoly of traders. It has also opened the window for private capital by allowing farmers to enter into deals with large buyers such as exporters and retailers.

This is expected to catalyse the sector, bring in much-needed private investment and boost rural incomes. Here’s a look at key measures in the legislation passed in Lok Sabha.

right now hoarding agriculture produce is crime reason? if you store a lot of the produce you can control the price artificial demand will be created and then store chesina vaadu king avuthaadu now govt dhanni legal chesthundhi so see what corporates like reliance , DMart can do. They can go to any state and buy directly from farmers and store entha kaavali antey antha

KCR okkade kadu Haryana and Punjab are dead against it.

For public consumption, it was mentioned in the Bills that farmers could sell their produce anywhere in the country. But in reality, the Bills would enable the traders to go anywhere in the country to buy the produce. The Bills would also help the corporate lobby to spread across all corners of the country and pave the way for private traders.

They are saying that farmers can sell their produce anywhere in the country with these new Bills. But is it possible for farmers to take their small produce to long distance areas bearing the heavy transportation charges and sell it at a fair price? These Bills are nothing but a sugar-coated pill

edo oka negative point cheppali kabatti rasinattu undi idi..^&H

Exiting APMC - Marketing committee model

advantages:

prices regulated, traders MSP pay cheyali, traders are approved by market committee over seen by the state governments.

Flaws:

Trader cartels(traders have behind the scene understandings not pay MSP per thus forcing the farmer to sell for loss)

New Farmers Bill- One Nation One Market

Advantages:

everything stated above but not practical as farmers are not in a position to take their produce cross country when 90% of farmers can’t afford to it neighboring district and forget about cross state or cross country

Why are Punjab and Haryana farmers protesting?

because they fear this is plan in the making to actually kill MSP which they think is protected through market committees.

Flaws:

free market vs regulated market

Coporate intervention and control - classic example what had happened with potato farmers when Pepsi sued them for growing with out their consent. Basically farmers loose individual freedom and eventually controlled by the corporates from what seeds they use and how much they pay for the produce etc.

major concern is slow ga mega corporations vastayi,  it will put the agriculture sector in the hands of corporate, vadu chepindi pandiyali, vadu chepina price ki ammali. Starting lo win-win untadi. Kani taruvata iddariki consumers and framers band baja undavachu. Monna nitin gani bheesma cinema type anuko

i agree with you starting lo baane untundhi kaani long run ee bill not viable, this bill is similar to the bill in america, american farmers also struggling to earn income, debt ridden and running their lives on subsidies adhikooda possible kaakapothe they are commiting suicides. europe lo kooda ilaage undhi position. america lo farmer suicides entaa anukuntaaru but its true.
