I can see exploitation in this bill, well it is part of the business and commerce and this is how it is and this is how it will be..exploitation has been there and will be there and very less  can be done to control it.

But I can also see trade between the states to be seamless, which I believe will be the positive sign.

MSP in its present form is anti-market. Farmers need to produce to be produced as per demand and it should    be the new norm and we need to get used to it.

Boss india lo farmers are small and segregated by law due to land ceiling . How can a farmer of even 30 acres negotiate with Adani ?

Our police ask for bribe even for theft cases , our courts are sold out to the highest bidder . There will be no justice to farmers without strong legal protections in place.

Some of the provisions are fine  but there are no safeguards regarding MSP in this bill at all . Reforms are good but screwing farmers for the benefit of coorporates is draconian .

Do you think any court can touch mukesh Ambani or Adani today ?

The government has undertaken landmark agricultural reforms, freeing farmers from restrictions on sale of their produce and ending the monopoly of traders. It has also opened the window for private capital by allowing farmers to enter into deals with large buyers such as exporters and retailers.

This is expected to catalyse the sector, bring in much-needed private investment and boost rural incomes. Here’s a look at key measures in the legislation passed in Lok Sabha.

That true.

May be the system needs a shake up...I will not say this is the right system but with present system, it’s tough to go into future.

Help chestado ledo time will tell but will shake up existing system, then things fall in place.

2-4 years of disturbance for sure..

Here is the bigger underlying problem.

Agri land owners’s land holding is getting smaller...for example, a medium sized farmer if he had 10 acres, and by the time it is passed over to next gen, say split into two sons, they will inherit 5 acres each. Now do you think the input costs and earnings from 5 acre plot will be on par with 10 acres?

This demographic change has been happening and medium size farmer of 20 years back is now a small size farmer. Inputs costs are rising and there is a need for additional investment to make it profitable.

A farmer harvests the crop and yet has no idea who the buyer is. This is the gap.

Banks are providing loan for now...but instead of banks if private corporations or business provide loans as part of investment strategy, that would make farmers a main part of supply chain system with minimum assurances. There is a scope for exploitation but that’s always there.

More and more land is coming into cultivation, accessibility to power and machinery is getting easier and affordable by each day, mechanized agriculture is gaining prominence, more ayacut is being stabilised...

If the same kind of crop output predicted, then the market will witness over production and collapse of MSP based incentive market.

Let get people who can sell things better, let’s get people who can market the produce, let’s get people into the system who can invest and improve the logistics and procurement and provide a market and supplement procurement and create a new supply chain system....We are living in a capitalistic society but why do we still think Adani or Ambani are really bad for the society ?
